Announcements
For some unknown
reason the Bulletin Board (which is actually a blog publishing
to our server) is no longer allowing me to post any information.
Since I don't have time for major web revisions at the moment,
for the remainder of the season any new information will be
posted on this page, including downloadable documents. Any
pre-existing information and downloads will remain on the
Bulletin Board. I apologize for the inconvenience.
Musicians beware -
YOBC has a new attendance policy - anyone who misses more than
three absences will be replaced by a robot!

Performance
opportunity
Received from Pat
Mervine the Langhorne Council for the Arts: "We would like
to extend an invitation to your musicians to participate in the
Second Annual Arts in the Garden Tour in Langhorne. This event,
sponsored by Langhorne Council for the Arts, places artists
(creating and/or displaying) and musicians (harp, bagpipes,
handbells, violin, guitar, etc.) in lovely private yards and
public spaces all around Langhorne Borough. Last year's
inaugural event was a great success and we are sure the turnout
will be even greater this year. The Arts in the Garden Tour is
scheduled for Saturday, May 31 (rain date Sunday, June 1).
We would appreciate hearing from interested artists and
musicians soon so that we can plan for the event. Our mission is
"to bring arts to the community and the community to the arts,"
which our tour certainly does! Our goal is fundraising to build
up our scholarship fund for middle and high school students who
want to take private lessons, attend an arts camp, or otherwise
expand their artistic experience. We also provide a free summer
concert series at the Langhorne Heritage Farm, and we have a
very informative quarterly newsletter that is mailed and posted
on our site.
If you have any questions, please let me know. More information
about our group can be found at
www.langhornearts.org.
All interested artists and musicians can contact me directly at
info@langhornearts.org.

Give your news to our
Business Manager, Lynn Fergusson to post. We want to know what
our members are up to!
