MELISSA GANSWORTH NOMINATED AND CHOSEN

FOR THE AMERICAN HIGH SCHOOL HONORS BAND

YOBC Wind Ensemble trombone player, Melissa Gansworth, has been nominated and chosen for the AMERICAN HIGH SCHOOL HONORS BAND.  Melissa recorded a prepared piece and submitted a tape. She was chosen to be part of this amazing experience. Only 90 students from the United States, Canada and Bermuda were accepted. Melissa will be in New York City on June 23–27, 2010. She will be under the baton of H. Robert Reynolds. She will experience a music seminar at the Julliard School of Music, rehearse with the honors band under H. Robert Reynolds, experience a Broadway Show and the band will be seen on the CBS Early Morning Show on June 26, 2010 EST.
