YOBC Student Council News and Events

The first meeting of the new YOBC Student Council was held in January 2010. The student council consists of 13 volunteers from our Advanced Division. Students volunteering for the Council include: Vicky Zhao, Hayley Busch, Genna Cohen, Jennie Benson, Brian Shuie, Abhijit Basu, Ivan Karavitchev, Gabe Franc, WIll Holstrom, Melissa Gansworth, Ian Sibner, Claire Buhr, and Kevin Li. Officers elected at the first meeting were: Claire Buhr (right), president; Brian Shuie (center), vice president; and Vicky Zhao (left), secretary.

The Student Council has two goals this semester: to plan a social event for the Advanced Division students and to give input to the YOBC Board regarding their ideas and suggestions for improving YOBC's mission.

The council selected the following members as their activity coordinators: Hayley Busch, Jennie Benson, Ivan Karavitchev, Ian Sibner, Gabe Franc, Will Holstrom

The officers will present their ideas to the Board of Directors at the March 2010 meeting.
