Regular attendance to rehearsals is key to developing a high quality of musicianship in your ensemble.  Each musician's contribution is important to the group. Every absence has an impact on the rest of the musicians in the ensemble.  Students should plan on attending all rehearsals.

In the event of an emergency or unavoidable conflict, an absence form must be submitted online. Unexcused absences (missed rehearsals with no absence forms submitted) are not allowed. Students are limited to a maximum of three missed rehearsals for each concert. Anticipated absences must be submitted before the rehearsal to be missed. Emergency absences (including illness), must be submitted no later than five days after the missed rehearsal. Rare exceptions to this policy may be made for individual musicians based on the needs of YOBC and only upon pre-approval of the Music Director, Robert Loughran, and the Executive Director, Colleen Sweetsir, at the beginning of the semester.
