Instructions for volunteer sign-up
This year we have a subscription with an online volunteer management application called "MyVolunteer". This will allow multiple users to access the information and should make it easier for those that schedule and manage volunteers. The program has been customized for YOBC but there are a few tricks to entering the data so please read the following carefully.
1. Although it does not prompt you to choose more than one area of interest (volunteer duties), we would appreciate it if you would give us a few options. You can let us know of your preference in the comments field and we will do our best to honor that.
2. You only need to go through the process once, no matter how many children, ensembles or parents are involved (see step two for details)
3. To enter more than one child just put multiple names in the first name field with a slash between (Jane/Andrew for example). Do not fill out a separate form for each child! To enter more than one ensemble (for example if you have more than one child enrolled, or if your child plays in more than one ensemble) hold down the Control key (PC) or the Apple key (Mac) which will allow multiple selection from the drop-down list. To enter more than one parent, first submit all information for the child or children and the first parent, then you can add a second parent if you wish (not mandatory however).
4. If you do not see your town in the dropdown list, either choose a town in your area or let me know and I will have the programmer add it.
